Welcome to Talk To Heal Therapy

Online Counselling & Psychotherapy for Adults in Manchester and Across the UK

Healing Through Conversation

For when you’re holding it all together on the outside, but quietly falling apart inside.

You apologise for things that aren't your fault. You say yes when you mean no. You're the reliable one at work, the easy-going one in relationships and you've lost yourself somewhere in all that performing.

I offer online therapy to help you understand why you do this and work through change. Not through quick fixes, but by making sense of the patterns and building something different.

If you're ready, let's talk.

Meet Your Therapist

Hi, I’m Alessandra – a therapist offering online counselling from Gorton, Manchester. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

I work with adults who look fine on the outside but are running empty on the inside. People who've spent so long managing everyone else's feelings that they've lost track of their own. Who say yes when they mean no, avoid conflict, and wonder how they became someone they no longer recognise.

Registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

My Approach

We start by making sense of the why, where the people-pleasing comes from, what you're protecting yourself from, why saying no feels impossible.

Then we work on changing it: understanding what boundaries look like for you, how to speak up without the crippling anxiety, how to reconnect with what you actually want instead of what everyone else needs.

What You Can Expect

You'll understand why you've been living like this. More importantly, you'll know how to stop. The guilt after saying no will ease. The constant rehearsal before difficult conversations will quieten The exhaustion of managing everyone's emotions will lift.

You'll start recognising yourself again.

My Journey into Counselling

I came to therapy because I couldn't make sense of the gap between how I looked on the

outside and what was happening inside. I was functioning fine - work, relationships, all of it but something felt fundamentally off, and I couldn't

articulate why.

Studying psychology gave me frameworks, but counselling helped me actually understand that disconnect. More than that, it showed me how powerful it is when someone helps you make sense of what's been confusing or painful. That's what drew me to the work - not the theory but the actual experience of being understood and finding a way forward

Common Challenges I Support Clients With

You may recognise some of these experiences in yourself. These are the patterns clients often bring to therapy:

  • Constant anxiety about disappointing people or getting it wrong
  • People-pleasing and difficulty saying no without guilt
  • Struggling to set or maintain boundaries in work or relationships
  • Low self-esteem and feeling like you're only worth what you give to others
  • Feeling disconnected from yourself like you've disappeared under all the performing
  • Relationship difficulties when you've lost track of how to ask for what you need

What Clients Have Shared

“After one session, I felt hopeful and more in control of my anxiety – like I finally had a way to move forward”

“For the first time I felt able to acknowledge that I was not okay and could begin processing this.”

Online Counselling & Psychotherapy Services

One-to-One Online Therapy

This is individual work, just you and me in a confidential space via video call. Sessions are 50 minutes, usually weekly or fortnightly depending on what works for you. There's no rigid structure as some sessions we talk through what's happened that week, others we dig deeper into patterns or work on specific situations you're facing. It's collaborative. You're not just sitting there while I take notes, we're working through this together.

Single Session Therapy

Sometimes you need support now rather than a long-term commitment. Single Sessions are 45 minutes, focused on what feels urgent or confusing now. We won't solve everything is one go, but we can untangle a specific problem, gain clarity on what's happening, or work out practical next steps.

How It Works

No initial consultation is needed, so you can book a one-off session here straight away

Availability is limited: There will only be a small number of single sessions offered each month and will be for a duration of 45 minutes.

Short pre-session form is required to ensure your safety and suitability for this type of session

It's different from ongoing therapy as we focus on the present issue rather than deep pattern work. Sometimes one focused conversation is exactly what you need.

Who Can Benefit?

These sessions are a good fit for you if you:

• Are not in crisis or considered high-risk

• Are on an NHS waiting list and want support while you wait

• Can’t commit to long-term therapy right now

• Are unsure what support you need but want to explore what’s going on

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of therapy do you offer?

I offer Person-Centred therapy, Low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Single-Session Therapy. This can be offered as a blended approach or person-centred, dependent on your needs as a client which will be discussed during the initial consultation.

What is the difference between Person-Centred Therapy, Low-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Single-Session therapy?

Person-centred therapy (PCT) is all about creating a non-judgemental, empathic, and genuine environment using the core conditions being empathy, unconditional-positive regard, and congruence. The therapist helps facilitate the client’s experience in exploring their thoughts and feelings and bringing this into their awareness to encourage therapeutic change, growth, and self-discovery. PCT centers the client, allowing them to lead their sessions to discover their own solutions.

Low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LI-CBT) offers a structured and goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying and challenging the negative thought patterns and behaviours the client may be experiencing. The therapist supports and collaborates with the client through techniques and strategies to help aid healthier patterns of thoughts and behaviour to reduce psychological distress. This approach is tailored to those with mild to moderate mental health challenges.

Single-Session Therapy is designed to be complete in one session with the therapist. It is brief and it draws on supporting you at a particular point in time. SST can help explore what’s going on for you and work toward taking away something meaningful whether being a new perspective, emotional relief, or practical strategies. This therapy is great for those that aren’t ready to commit to ongoing therapy or unsure about what the next steps might be.
